Ohio House of Representatives, 2009 – Current
Denise Driehaus is a lifelong resident of the west side of Cincinnati and represents western Cincinnati, Cheviot, Addyston, Cleves, and North Bend. A graduate of Seton High School, Driehaus earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Miami University of Ohio. She co-owns two small businesses: Philipps Swim Club and the Front Porch Coffeehouse in West Price Hill. She is a former president of the Cincinnati Recreation Commission and served on its board as a volunteer for 16 years. She is also on the board of the Price Hill Civic Club and is the vice president of the West Price Hill Merchants Association. She has volunteered at St. Teresa of Avila Parish in West Price Hill as the coordinator of the Everybody Counts Program, as a coach, as the president of the Parent Teacher Group, and as a member of Parish Council.
Driehaus aims to focus on important issues such as education reform, economic development in neighborhood business districts, and housing issues. She is also committed to working with all the members of the state legislature in a cooperative way to move the state and the west side of Cincinnati forward.
In the 128th General Assembly, Rep. Driehaus serves on the following House committees:
-Economic Development (vice chair),
-Finance and Appropriations,
-Consumer Affairs and Economic Protection, and
-Health and Human Services Subcommittee.
